This may be of interest to you:While tracing this back at the Mormon Library in SLC, I did get back to Ferdinandus.
John Alair Van Sicklin II (b.1809 NYC d. 1854 Crawford Co., Pa) married Sarah A. Nodine (d.ca 1865) around 1835. They had 3 children, at least one of whom was born in NYC area before the family moved to Western Pennsylvania (most likely Crawford County). Their children: John Alair Van Sicklin III (b. 8 Mar 1837 NYC d.3 Mar 1918 Linesville, Crawford Co, Pa.; married Sarah Parker on 1 Oct 1864 in Conneaut Twp., Ashtabula Co., Ohio), James Van Sicklin (moved to Indiana), and Emma Van Sicklin (b.ca.1842, married William B. Sherwood and lived in Erie, Pennsylvania). Family tradition has it that Sarah A. Nodine Van Sicklin was buried in Blooming Valley, Crawford Co., Pa. Tradition also says that John Alair Van Sicklin II was drowned in French Creek in Feb. 1854. Any information about these folks would be appreciated.
