Here's what I have. The sources are all secondary and should be treated as such until a primary source is located.
Cornelius Scott (born 17 Feb 1740/41 Kingston, NY) married Annatie "Hannah" Van Tassell (16 Jun 1744 in Tarrytown, Westchester Co., NY) on 17 Jun 1761.Cornelius Scott was a grandson of Cornelia Bogardus, who in turn was daughter of Lt William Bogardus.
I show they had the following children: Martha Scott Cornelia Scott, b 12 Mar 1777 Henry Scott, b 24 Nov 1763 Robert Scott Elizabeth Scott, b 14 May 1762 Mary Scott, b 11 Jun 1766 Gertrude Scott Cornelius Scott, b 1765
Oddly enough, Marth Scott (first sibling listed) married a Henry Van Tassell. They had a daughter also called Hannah Van Tassell (just like her grandmother).
Looking to learn more about Henry Van Tassell.I do not know who his parents or siblings are.Any words of wisdom out there?
Additionally, Cornelius Scott served in the American Revoloution and have read his grave is marked as such.A recent trip to Delanson, NY where he is reportedly buried on the Henry Cole Farm proved fustrating.Knocked on several doors seeking clues to location of this small cemetery to no avail. The old book made reference to a nearby tower. One neighbor thought it might refer to old water tower near train tracks use to service trains during stops in Delanson. The tower is long gone.Interested in anyone's thoughts.
