Van Alen / Van Wie baptism 1754
Perhaps someone with knowledge of the Van Wie family can shed some light on a baptism record at Kinderhook Ref. Ch. #741:
15 Apr 1754. Pieter;Pieter Van Alen, Annatje Van Wie;sp. Michel Herder, Maria Rees
There is evidence from research on the "sponsors" that they are the parents of the baptized child, but we don't know much about Pieter Van Alen & Annatje Van Wie. On-line information identifies them as the people in these Albany Ref. Ch. records:
1701 Sept. 28. Anna, of Gerrit and Agnietje Van Wyen;sp. Levinus and Willempje Winnen.
1702 Apr. 11. Pieter, of Willem Van Alen and Marrytje Van Petten;sp. Gerrit Van Esch, Melchert Van der Poel and Christina Van Alen.
1727, Apr. 11. L. Pieter Van Alen and Anna Van Wie. [license to marry]
1743 Aug. 21. Pieter, of Pieter W. Van Alen and Anna; sp. Casparus Conyn and Eva Conyn.
Is this identification correct? And if so, besides the obvious issues of Anna's age and the name of the child, does anyone know if the 1743 Pieter survived, which would mean the 1754 record is wrong?
