Re: Woodford Co Varvels
Dear Jack .. thx for your response .. fortunately I have already followed your advise and that is what raises the questions in my mind...1) #21 re:tax list John, Phillp, Henry ... 1796 Henry Jr (Stiles) is referred to as son of John ? John Jr is probably son of John. 2) #102 re: two seperate family Bibles in 2 different locations give exactly the same family history and they are both wrong?
3)#8 Henry Varvel (Steele?) 2nd marriage to Sarah since at least 2 of his children (Isaac and Wm.Steele) were born prior to marriage..in later notes it is Isaac and James who have no mother. 4) #8 John youngest son of Phillip (Rowan Co) but later John and Phillip are sons of John in PA...
5) Rowan Co Varvels had 3 sons John, Philip and Henry in KY .. and this is the Henry that is on the tax list with 2 other John and Phillips ? ... James d.1835 Boone Co and leaves estate to Isaac (Adm.) and Isaac's siblings.. act of father or brother ?so.. my bottom questions are: was Henry Jr really a son of John ? Were Isaac and James really sons of Henry and unk? when Henry age 20-21 m. Sarah ? and were John, Henry and Philip not the sons of Philip (Rowan Co - Europa ship)?Nancy
