There was a Benedictus Wenrich in the Lancaster area late 1600's,possible had a son named Frantz, and they may have been from the Palentine settlement in Pa.They left Pa.and resettled in the Palentine community near New Bern,N.C.in Craven county now but may have been Old Bath county in about 1715 to 1720 when they moved. For some reason they changed their last name to Vendrick here, and at least my gggrandmother is from this line, her name was Lenora or Nora Vendrick andshe married Wiley Trewhitt[Truitt]sr aka Whitty Trewhitt in Craven county in June of 1836.There is also a marriage of one Ruth Vendrick in 1801 in the same county to a William Trewhitt, and I believe this is my ggggrandparents, but this is not yet confirmed. There are also a number of Vendrick's listed in various wills and deeds in Craven county from about 1750 to 1840.Still trying to tie them to the family line,so if anyone out there has concrete info would appreciate a message. Thanks,Bob Truitt
