Mary Vinicomb, Devon, England. Early 1700s.
Mary Vinicomb married Samuel Shurem (who died 7 May 1786) and became the mother of William Sherman (a.k.a. William Shurem, christened 16 December 1750 at Stoke-Canon, Devon, England). She also became the grandmother of John Baker Sharam and the great grandmother of Christopher Sharam and his many descendants, mostly in Australia.
Last time I checked there was no FamilySearch.org Ancestral File Number for Mary Vinicomb, but she is mentioned on page 6 of the book about Christopher Sharam who emigrated from Devon to eventually settle in Penola, South Australia.
The book is by Betty Byrne and Jill Fox, "The Pride of "Christie's Row", Sharam Heritage, Penola, which was published (by Investigator Press, Hawthornende, South Australia 5051) at the time of the Sharam family reunion in Penola, South Australia in 1981.
ANY scanned certificates, details, GEDCOM files on ancestors or descendants would be appreciated. Shurem/Sharam etc. surnames to the other forum please. http://genforum.genealogy.com/sharam/http://genforum.genealogy.com/sharam/
