i have a timothy waeir who married anne colver , they had a son robert who is listedin roxbury nj.,( jefferson twp. today but jefferson was not incororated til 1804), robert wife was a jehialah smelleger.and at this time i still have only one child known for them and his naame was charles. i do not know where timothy was from but anne was born in barneget , momouth county nj. around 1733 or so. timothy and anne had at least two sons , robert and david c. (the c was for colver) . robert owned property in roxbury (?)( jefferson twp. is what the deed said ) along the rockaway river . david served in the roxbury militia. this was sent to me by someone , but i can't remember who now as it was so long ago. so i can't say for sure if this correct one way or the other, but i do know about the deed for sure cause i have a copy of it here somewhere, and it gives the measurments of the property in chains and such things as trees in the middle of the river as a boundry. i do also the thing about david waeir serving in the militia, is accurate because i have seen references to it myself. as for timothy waeir i really have no idea s about him just a possible guess if this info is correct, and that guess would be that he was possibly the son of a thomasand abiah waeir who were burried in the old colver family burrial ground up on schooleys mt. here in nj.i found the reference to the old burrial ground with the inscriptions for both thomas and abiah in a book called early germans of nj. by chamberlain. no the waeirs were not german but they did live on schooleys mt. and the area was known as german valley. other then that i know that the waeirs came down from rhode island into ct. , it had to do with their religion. hope this helps.
