Elmer F. Wagner, eighty-one, 524 East Eighth Street, Berwick, died yesterday afternoon in Berwick Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in ill health for 18 months and previously had been hospitalized.
Born in Divide on Feb. 9, 1889, he was a son of the late George and Rosie Hess Wagner. He resided in Bloomsburg until 1944 at which time heand his family, moved to Berwick. An employee of the F.B. Pursel Store, Bloomsburg, for many years, he later worked at ACF Industries in Berwick, for 25 years, retiring in 1957.
He was a member of Berwick Christian Church. His death breaks a martial span of 57 years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, the former Anna Oblosser, is a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Edna) Stevens, Berwick; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren; two half-brothers, Llewellyn Wagner, Mifflinville and Cletus Wagner, Bloomsburg R.D.; one half-sister, Mrs. Sarah Parks, Bloomsburg.
Funeral services will be held at two p.m. Monday from the G. Richard Mayo Funeral Home, Second and Chestnut Streets, Berwick with Rev. William F. Tucker, pastor of Berwick Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in New Rosemont cemetery
