Will of Elizabeth Thurman Wakefiled Cumberland Co KY Will Book B page 187 transcribed by Deborah Thurman Parks, 2011 The non-recuperative will of Elizabeth Wakefield deceased made at her residence in Cumberland County Kentucky in her last illness in July in the year 1821 as reduced to writing and proven by the oath of Judith Armstrong andReid witnesses thereto this 10th day of December 1821 being less than six months of the speaking of testamentary words herein after mentioned – The said Elizabeth Wakefield being in her proper senses and of sound and disposing memory declared that it was her will and desire and she did will to Permela Jane Montgomery and Thomas Montgomery, the children of her daughter Louisa Montgomery, her negro man slave Layton, as the property of said children and their heirs forever.
State of Kentucky, Cumberland County December 1821 I, Benjamin B. Jefferson, as deputy clerk for John P. King Clerk of said county do hereby certify that the aforementioned cuperative will of Elizabeth Wakefield deceased was at the said court fully proved and ordered to be recorded.I have recorded the same with this certificate in my office Will Book B page 187.Witness my hand the 17th day of December 1821.
