Descendants of Conrad Waldvogel (1832-1901) of Toledo OH
I have the records of four and sometimes five generations of descendants of Conrad Waldvogel (1827-1901) and his wife Maria Kuebler (1832-1911) married in 1850.They emigrated from Switzerland (Stettin, Schaffhausen) in 1847 and 1840 respectively and lived on Vinton Street, Toledo. He was a stone carver and a veteran of the Mexican-American War (1st Michigan Volunteer Infantry).
They had 12 children, 7 of whom survived to adulthood. These seven have descendants with the surnames of: Waldvogel, Eckhardt, Wechtel, Barth, Schneider, French, Hannes, Kratt, Lucas, McKoewn, Reitz, Staiger, Marshall, Pollock and others.
The data is based on first person documentation consisting of original correspondence between Conrad and Maria's then 80 year old grandchildren (1974-76), plus photos, tintypes, 1870's Family Bible, and Conrad's 1847 Swiss Passport.
Happy to share the information if this is a family line of interest to you.
Regards -- Rob Pollock
