Hello Mary, I don't have a positive connection, but here's something to stimulate some thought: - Your Elizabeth was born in 1836 - Your Elizabeth named one of her sons "Oliver" - I have an Oliver WALKEY with children born 1826, 1828, 1832, and 1834 - I wonder if he have had a fifth child (Elizabeth) born in 1836? - I wonder if this daughter (Elizabeth) named one of her children in honour of her father (Oliver)?
I'm working with a group of 5 or 6 other researchers who are actively researching our WALKEY roots. So far, we have pieced together a probable connection to Samuel WALKEY and Elizabeth UNKNOWN, born about 1710 (in Cornwall?) and *our* Oliver is the great grandson of Samuel & Elizabeth.
If you think there may be a connection, let's work together to see if we can find a connection.Children of my Oliver WALKEY & Sarah CORY are: - Jane Cottle WALKEY, bapt 24-Oct-1826 - Jabez WALKEY, bapt 24-Aug-1828 - Mary WALKEY, bapt 19-Dec-1832 - John Cory WALKEY, bapt 18-Jan-1835
Does the name Cottell or Cory show up as a given name any where in your tree? Have you ever seen any reference by Elizabeth WALKEY to these brothers or sisters? Are there any PA resources that you can check to see if Oliver, Jabez, or John Cory WALKEY were living in PA (this would suggest *my* family emigrated to PA and that *your* Elizabeth could be the daughter of *my* Oliver.
