Susan...I am not sure, but I will ask a fellow researcher if she can identify the John Waller you seek.I have seen several "charts" on the overall Waller family in VA, but it seems that each of them leaves somebody "off the list."
I am still trying to determine if my maternal gg-grandfather (who was taken-in as an infant and named "Smith W. Brown" by aBrown family in Middlesex Co., VA around 1817) was a son of the John Smith who married Sarah Waller (daughter of Judge Benjamin Waller and Martha Hall of Williamsburg, VA).We have this Smith family accurately "traced back" to the Alexander Smith who died in Middlesex Co., VA in 1696.
It does not APPEAR that the Ambrose Smith who was in Spotsylvania Co., VA (and who is included in the record that you posted) was related to the Alexander Smith family, but unfortunately, we currently have no male Smith DNA donor out of the family of that Ambrose Smith to compare to the DNA results that we have from the Alexander Smith family.
