This is what I have on what you are looking for. This was sent to me by another cousin who ran acrossed it. She found it in the Meclenburg Co., Library, in Charlotte, NC. It is headed as Walters. It talks about a William Walters born abt 1680 in either Wales or Holland. It says there is a missing link between William Walters born about 1680 and the next Walters, born about 1740. About 1715, a son, name unknown, was born to Wm. Walters. This unknown Walters was the father of John b 1745, William b 1740 and Joshua Walters born between 1750-1755.
According to an old Walters Bible owned by Mrs. Louis Walters of Durham, NC the children of William Walters b 1740, and his wife Rachel are: 1)John Walters b 12 July 1763, 2) Moses Walters b 6 March 1768, 3) Elijah Walters b 28 Jan 1774 and Ruben Walters b 27 July 1776.
Elijah Walters moved to the southern part of Union County, NC near the Chesterfield County, SC line about 1822. That part of Union County is known as the Buford Section. There is an old Walters Cemetery in this section of Union County on the Landsford Road. Elijah Walters has a marked tombstone confiming his birthday from the Old Walters Bible. Elijah Walters married Easter Holomon. Their children were: 1) Winney Walters, 2) Asa Walters, 3) Mary A. Walters, 4) Dicey Walters, 5)Levicey Walters,6) Nancy Walters, 7) Daniel Walters, 8) Joshua Walters, 9) Sally Walters.

Okay, I have this because I beleive my Walters may run with this line. I am from Herren Walters b 1785 SC married Ann Blackledge. It is said that Asa Walters, Thomas Willoughby Walters, supposed brothers of Herren Walters, came to Miss. together. Your Elijah Walters children's names run almost the same with the Asa Walters b 1784 SC and supposed brother of Herren Walters. Have you ever heard of Herren Walters? His first name could be Henry as well. I have pension aplications from Herren and his wife Ann, and he signs it Herren, but I beleive that sometimes it was written as Henry. I hope this helps you. There is more to these pages, and as soon as I can I will scan the pages for you. Email me, so that I will have your email address. There is a picture of Elijah Walters' tomb with these pages. Also, I tried locating the woman it mentions who owns the bible, but I have had no luck. Let me hear from you.
