Connecting the Walter(s)

I'm wondering if there is any connection between my John Walters (b.c. 1787) and the heirs of Godwin (Goodwin) Walter of Chester County, Pennsylvania.I haven't been able to follow any of the Walter lines long enough to prove or disprove a link.I do know that they were all Quakers.I do know that the extra "s" has come and gone within my family's history.My John is believed to have been from Pennsylvania originally, was in Berkeley County, Virginia (now WV) when he married into another Quaker line (Thatcher) then moved to Ohio.Can anyone confirm, or disprove a connection?
