Ellamander "Major" Warbington, Sr., was married to Patience Waits. He is my 4th-great grandfather. They came from
s. Carolina to Jasper County before 1814, by the 1830 census they had 8 kids, 2 boys and 6 girls. They moved to Gwinnett and DeKalb Counties to a farm. He remarried twice, but had not more children with either of those wives, Nancy Musgrove or Piety Reeves.
Ellamander served in the war of 1812, "Major" was only a nickname, not a title. He and Patience Waits are buried in Harmony Cemetery which I believe used to be called Warsaw Cemetery and Church, founded by Moravians in 1820's. I can trace his lineage all the way to my mother, but have trouble matching the wives, unless some married twice .I know Ellamander, Jr., was married to Emily Ross and he died in 1908.
