Re: JOHN WARHURST STOCKPORT/DUKINFIELD
What a todo trying to answer this tonight. Thanks so much for your message. I had actually pencilled in Samuel and Ann Ryder, but it could just as easily be Samuel and Martha I guess.
I would very much like to do as you suggest and look up both marriages at a Library. However the Mormon Library here has closed and beacause I have an autoimmune disorder I am unable to drive at all. My dear Husband is great and takes me to the hospital and Dr, but I rarely go out these days.
Grave 635 in the Dukinfield Cemetery, was purchased by John Warhurst, the following are buried there:-
Samuel Warhurst, his son from 1st m to Jane HolegateDec Joseph Taylor, aged 58.Mother's 2nd husband
Martha Taylor, aged 76, Mother
John Warhurst, aged 69, Gentleman,62 Wakefield Rd, StalyB
Eliza Warhurst, aged 77,widower. 2nd wife and my G'grandmother
I'm sure that had Samuel lived there would have been more children, and that one d would have had either Ann or Martha as a name.
