Could DNA solve the parentage of Oliver Waterman?

I am curious if any of the male descendants of Oliver Waterman( b about 1750 d 1811 in Berne N.Y.) have done DNA testing? No one knows Oliver's parents, some say Samuel Waterman and Sarah Chapman.
So if any males that are direct descenants of Oliver did a test to see if any males from the Samuel line are direct matches that would be wonderful. Or if they are excluded from each other, either way.I do see a Waterman DNA project listed on google.
So anyway, any help out there Waterman descendants?
