Re: WEARSCH family in Ohio
I am Henry William Wearsch, grandson of Henry J Wearsch. Ann G Wearsch was Henry J and Antone W's sister. Their parents were Christopher Wearsch and Elizabeth Billow who lived on a farm on Jaycox Rd in Avon. Antone W married Lena Krakow, Chales W's sister and moved to Chardon, Ohio and lived in a farm right off the Chardon Square, They had a son, Gerald C who stayed in Chardon and started Wearsch Realty with an office on Chardon Square. Gerald C and his wife, bought the famous Hanna estate located in Mentor, believe. Gerald C and his wife had a son and possibly more children.
For some reason Ann G had a falling out with Henry, my grandfather and possibly his othe brothers also which was not resolved until 50 years later at my grandmother'd funeral. As I understand it, Ann did not treat Charles W's children from his first marriage very well.
Charles W Krakow and Ann G lived on Lake rd at stop 58 1/2 and also at Avon Center Rd (83) and Lake Rd between stop 52 & 56. I'm told Charles W had a winery at Jaycox & Walker Rd. I believe the house is still standing.
If your are interested, I do have more information about the Wearsch family including a panoramic photo of the Wiersch Family Reunion in Sept 1,1912 at Avon Beach. Wiersch was the original spelling of the name. The Wiersch's go back to Kottenheim, Germany (near Koblenz).
I live in Westlake and can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
