Re: Clement StudebakerWeatherwax
William in your first message you indicate that Charity Bradt married Clement S. Weatherwax that is not true. In your second message you indicate that Amanada Bratt b: 1832 cousin of Charity Bradt married Clement S. Weatherwax that also is not true because Clement S. Weatherwax wasnt born until Mar of 1862.
Charity L. Bradt, nee Francisco who married Jacob Bradt was b:1795 and died in 1865 so how could she have married a three year old male!!
Documentation supports the following
Jacob Bradt ( 1792-1846) married Charity L. Francisco (1795-1865) they married about 1823/24. They had six known children one of whom was Amanda Bradt/Bratt/Brott b:1832 in Ohio. See USC 1850 Center twp. St. Joseph co IN.
This Amanda Bratt married Andrew Weatherwax sometime around 1859 in Cass. Co. MI. Their first child was born
20 Jan 1860 in MI.
Now you have twice linked both his mother and his grandmother as his wife which is impossible......
I didn't say anything the first time as I figured you made a mistake. I know I certainly have made them on ocassion. Then you ask me to give you all the information on Amanda and Andrew's children. Why do you not use US Census records to check your work? I do, I also use published genealogies, and a very good one exists for the Bradt family; marriage, death and cemetery records as well.
I know you have been in contact with Linda Wilbur and what her replies were to you. Like all serious researchers I use all venues to check my research and keep in contact on all messgae boards.
So my question is why do you insist that Clements mother and Grndmother are his wife?
I'm trying to be helpful here, but it appears you either are not being honest or simply don't care and that you ignore primary source documents.(USC records)
