Re: Clement StudebakerWeatherwax
If that is true please go to US Census1860,Newberg twp.Cass co MI;pg136,lines 22-27 this clearly shows Andrew Weatherwa's wife as Amanda on line 23 not Charity.
Then go to US Census 1870 Newberg twp. Cass co MI pg 5 lines 33-35 there again she is not CHARITY but AMANDA, and her son Clementage 8 appears on the page with her, she is widowed, with land valued at 10,000 (her husbands farm)
US Census 1880 in Quincy,Branch co MI,pg:37C,line 42 she appears alone and widowed.
Finally we have Michigan marriage records for Branch co MI.
on 4 Dec 1889 Amanda Weatherwax married Augustus Chapel in Quincy,Branch co MI.
At no time in any record does Clement S. Weatherwax's mother appear as a "Charity" or does his wife appear as a Charity.
Clement S. Weatherwax first appears married in USC 1900 Waverly,Van Buren co MI.pg:XIA lines 48-51 clearly show his wife as "Matilda S. wife b: Jun 1862" This USC clearly indicates Clements dob as MAR1862 an both indicate they have been married 15years.
USC1910 Waverly,Van Buren,MI sheet 10A,lines 15-17 again wife is Matilda
USC1920 Waverly,Van Buren,MI sheet 2A line 15 Clement is divorced
USC1930 Waverly,Van Buren,MI sheet 1A Clem is re-married to "Mamie" note no CHARITY here either. According to Clems granddaughter Mamie and Matilda were nick names use by his first wife who was Jessie Matilda Boothby.
I wont even bother going further you have failed to qoute or cite any document which supports your claim. You have identified women who were born in1829 and 1832 as being married to a man who was born in 1862 by his own admission. Do you really think that is correct?
According to the Bradt genealogy and emails between myself and Cynthis Biasca Jacob Bradt b: 26 May 1792 in Rens co NY married Charity L. Francisco about 1817 their children were
1824 John Bradt
1828 Mary Bradt
1829 Charity Bradt
1832 Amand Bradt
1837 Henry Bradt
1839 Francis Bradt
I found this family in USC1830 in Onondag co NY
USC1840 St. Joseph co,IN
USC1850 Charity Bradt widowed wife of Jacob in Center twp,St. Joseph co IN with daughter Amanda, note here daughter CHARITY is missing presumed married by me.
USC1860 Charity is now found with son Henry Bradt same location as 1850
Since daughter Charity Bradt is missing from the family in USC1850 I presumed she was married, but daughter Amanda who marries Andrew Weatherwax is still positiively single living at home with her mother. She would not marry Andrew until c1859. Sheis correctly listed as age 28 which equals a birth of about 1832,she correctly identifies her pob as OH.
She has a daughter 5 months old so thats why I estimated her dom as 1859. Since this census was July 1850 daughter Ada was born about Jan 1860 with 9 months for full term pregnancy thatt would mean a marriage of about Apr 1859.
Andrew first wife Mary died about 12 Dec 1858,bur Morrison Cem St. Joseph co MI.
So now provide documentation for a marriage between CHARITY BRADT and Andrew Weatherwax or his son Clement S. Weatherwax! Provide any reference or viewable document identifying the WIFE of Clement S. Weatherwax as "CHARITY or AMANDA" do that and I will reconsider my opinion, but I doubt you can provide such a document. Genealogy is bas on Historically accureate, and documented research not opinion.
I have consistently provided this to you and you consistently provide no documentation in return to substatiate your assertion that Clement married his aunt Charity or mother Amanda BRADT!
