Re: William Weeks, NY 1853
Many of the New York Week's descended from Francis of Oyster Bay, Long Island who settled in the U.S. about 1635, and Thomas of Huntington, Long Island.
Information on them can be found in a book
Genealogy of the family of George Weeks of Dorchester, Ma. 1635-1650, written by Robert D. Weeks and published in 1885. Copies of this book, and a 2nd book, same title, only part II, published in 1892 can be obtained from the New England Historic Genealogical Society, in Boston, Ma.vistit their web page at http://www.nehgs.orghttp://www.nehgs.orgbut see if your local library may have copies to look at first.
I have both books, but the author was in a hurry to publish these, so in following Thomas and Francis he didn't do a very thorough job. I might be able to help out, but can't promise anything. I also will not have any info after the dates of approx. 1872 to perhaps 1885.
