Re: Jonathan (b1681), brother of Benjamin Weeks
I just returned from the archives in Raleigh in my search for the ancestors of Thomas Weekes, Esqof Perquimans Co., NC and in my searching I came across Ezekiel Weeks of Hyde Prec.I have read your postings and wanted you to know that there was another deed for Ezekiel on microfilm which is abstracted as follows:
John George, precinct of Hyde in the county of Bath for 5pds sold to Ezekiel Weeks, planter a parcel of land containing by patent 200a lying on the Matchapungo River, Sullians Creek and Ruckmond(sp)Creek.
5 Oct 1731
Proved: June 12m 1734
Wit: James Roe, Ann George
Also a deed found in a separate book from Deliverance Weeks to John Arthur planter, both of Hyde Co., 200a June 1741.(Will have to look this up, as it came from a book at the archives. I guess that this could be the 200a listed above.)
Do you have an approx dob for Ezekiel? He owned 100a in 1715, so you would have to assume that he was born at least by 1694?
