Peter/Christopher Weeter
There are so many Weeters in Lancaster County, PA that it can drive you crazy to figure out how they are connected, and there are so many spellings of the surname. I have tried to figure out some connections and just put it out there for people to examine and criticize. I have no proof of a lot of these connections.

John’s newly-acquired land shared a common border with land of neighbor Peter Weeter (Witter/Widder) and thus was a short walk north of land owned by Christopher (Stophel) Witter (Widder).”

A Michael Witter and an Eberhart Gruber were chosen to represent Strasburg Township, Lancaster County, in the election held on December 15th, 1774.
In 1800, a Michael Witter was living in Leacock Township, Lancaster Co., PA.
An elderly Michael Witter (living in Berks County, PA) was receiving a pension for serving as a private in the Pennsylvania Militia. I don’t know if this is our Michael Witter or not. Seems strange. He was placed on the pension rolls on Feb. 11, 1833.
