Carolyn,
WOW, you did such an execellent job of discrediting and degrading me I think I'll give you a "A+" for that one even though you know VERY little about me...eh! I'll be glad to show you or anyone else proof that I've been writting to State agencies, State Libraries, Court house's, etc. since the early 80's when we first started doing genealogy! What's makes you think I never did that before computers came along...eh! And yes, you are right in that the internet has very little although more and more is becoming availble each day.
Actually though, I don't see what all of that had to do with my original questions and since I was the one asking the questions to begin with why aren't you answering them? You have answered the question about David's Mother and I'm not so much questioning if David's middle name was Morgan as I am wondering who he was named after but I would still love to know where the Morgan name orginated at. 99% of the documents I've seen such as the 1790 tax records, David's Will, etc doesn't specilfy any middle names for him. I can only assume this comes from a family document of some sort and I was hoping someone would know who he was named after as well.
I never stated anywhere I was a expert on either David's line or Edward, however I have accumalated a lot of records on Jonathan's line as you well know. And if it's a sin to ask questions on this forum then maybe they should just shut it down if no one can ask questions without you jumping all over them...eh.
I asked 4 simple questions and so far you have only halfway answered one of them. If you don't care to comment on the others, that's fine too. All I was mainly trying to get across to Shirley is to make sure she has the proof to back up what's she is saying because unless you or someone else has found the document stating that Thomas is the father of our Edward it's going to have to be stated "as a very likely conclusion" wheather you like it or not. Now the last time we talked about that subject, you told me that you could not prove it unless you have since come across a new document? If so, why aren't you sharing it with everyone else or at least letting us know that such a document does indeed exist. Is that question really so hard to answer?
And we both know what happened the last time I asked you about Edward's middle name, yet I still would like to see the document that states his middle name as Levi. Even if it does make you mad at me, because I have searched and looked at the 1790 tax's of GA along with his land grants, his estate papers, etc. and have yet to see any middle name listed for Edward. I'm not saying such a document doesn't exist, I'm simply asking, where in the heck is this document at? But like I said before, if's it a crime to ask questions on this forum then excuss me all to heck! And if you don't want to answer them that's fine too. But I can do without the personal attacks on my character which has nothing to do with my original questions anyway!
Sincerley,
Jim Welborn
