MELVEL WELBORN - Madison County, IN

I am seeking any information any of you may have.My
gr-grandfather was MELVEL "MEL" WELBORN, born abt. 1862 in unknown location, married SARAH ISABEL "BELLE" GILLIAM in 1884 in Madision County, IN.They raised their children in Madison County, IN.

MEL was supposed to have been a twin, name unknown.I have letters to him from the 1890s from a brother named "SAM" who was living in Ingalls & Emminence, KS at the time.I also have any I.O.U. from a JAMES A. WELBORN dated Sept. (18)'96, but I don't have any other info and no one in the family seems to be able to remember anything else.Do these people ring a bell with any other WELBORN researchers.Any idea where MELVEL might have come from and who his siblings and/or parents might be?Any lead would be greatly appreciated.Thanks - Fran
