I am looking for information on John Paul (Johann Paulus) Wendel from Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany immigrating to Brownsville, TN in 1856 (at age 44).He was a Professor of Music and Languages.

He married Julia Clara Bradford in Brownsville, Tennessee about 1856-1858 and had 5 children:

Minna Luta
Dora
Julia Clara
Charles Quintard
Paul

He was born in about 1812 in Hessen-Darmstadt.
