Members of the Old Mennonite Church. They had children; Joseph who died at age 66; Abraham who died at age 64; Peter a carpenter at Manheim. and Henry L. By a former marriage, to a Miss Brubaker, Christian Wenger had l son John who died at age 82.
Henry L. Wenger, married twice. In 1854 he married Anna Hershey and had children; Christian of Penn township and he married ______Miller. Lizzie married Henry Greiner, a farmer of Rapho township; Benjamin married Amanda Keener.
Anna (Hershey) Wenger was born in W. Hempfield township and died in 1889 at age 69, she is buried at Shoemaker's Cemetery, she was the d/o John Hershey of Lancaster.
On 9/24/1891 Henry L. married Emma Long, d/o Jacob Long, they had no children.
Emma (Long) Wenger was born in Manor township and is the d/o Jacob and Frances (Mellinger) Long, the former was a farmer.
The mother of Emma (Long) Wenger, married a 2nd time to Jacob Harnish, he enlisted in the Civil war. He was confined in Libby Prison and died Feb. 1865, Frances, his widow died Jan. 1898 at the home of her son-in-law.Frances was a member of the Methodist Church. Her children, all but Emma were born to her second marriage.
