Wenger/Ranck

Adam M.Ranck was born in Leacock township on 2/20/1850, the son of Rev. Adam and Barbara (Resh) Ranck. On 11/6/1871 he married Caroline "Wenger, who was born 5/22/1850, d/o Christian and Mary (Royer) Wenger, natives of West Earl and East Cocalico townships, respectively. Christian Wenger died on the farm on which he was born, he died 1886 aged 75. Mary (Royer) Wenger, born about 1820 went to live with her daughter, Mrs. Gibble in Brunnerville. They were members of the Old Brethren Church. Children of Christian and Mary (Royer) Wenger; Edward of Ephrata; Mary the wifeof Ezra Burkholder of Ephrata; Salandia the wife of Abram Myers; Caroline; Christian, a doctor of Vet. Med., Harvey County, KA.; Samuel; Abraham a cigar mfg. of Earlville; and Lizzie the wife of Cyrus Gibble, a farmer from Brunnerville.

Paternal grandparents were; Christian and Hettie (Stoner) Wenger of Lancaster County. Materal grandparents, Samuel and Sally (Kellar) Rohrer of Lancaster County.
