Wenger/Groff, Lancaster County

Christian Groff,of Paradise township, Lancaster, was born 2/11/1832 the son of David and Barbara (Herr) Groff, they both died before Christian 10th birthday. Grandfather of Christian, was John Groff. On Jan. 3. 1866 he married Elizabeth Overly,born 7/24/1840, a d/o Isaaac and Sarah (Witmer) Overly. They had 2 children, Isaac born 2/9/1879, married Susie Wenger, born 6/18/1873, a d/o Jonas Wenger of Leacock township, and they had 3 children; Jay C.; Elizabeth C.; Cora May.
