This is the beginning of the Wetherington's in my Coat of Arms.
According to the archives in Raleigh and New Bern, NC we find that four Wetherington brothers came from England in the mid 1700's. All four, William, Thomas, Soloman, and James started their new homes in a fertile thickly wooded area along a small creek of Craven County now know as Tuscarora. The cree was later named after these four men who at that time were bachelors; so the creek is now known as Bachelors Creek
1n 1679 , the ship "SWALLOW" sailed to the new world from England. It's captain was Thomas Wetherington. We have not connected him with the four brothers.
