I just typed a whole response and somehow lost it in my computer before I hit the "POST" button, so let me try again... The Steve Whallon that you've written about may be the son of my great-great uncle, Jacob Whallon. As I previously wrote, JOHN G. WHALLON and his wife, MOLLIE ESTILL WHALLON had many children and their sons included JACOB, PARKER, JOHN, LEE AND VICTOR.One of their daughters, Anna Whallon Wedmore, was my great-grandmother.I have a copy of PARKER WHALLON'S obituary from 1920.It states here that PARKER died in Lexington, KY on 22 August 1920 at the age of 55.This means that he was born approx. 1865 to John G. and Mollie.Parker's wife was named Ora May and they had two daughters--Lucille and a Mrs. Thomas Quinn. They also had a son named Kelley D. Whallon who was living in the Philippines in 1920. According to the death certificate of JOHN G. WHALLON--John was born on 23 March 1845 to STEPHEN WHALLON of OHIO and OLLIE WASH of KY.John also died in 1920 on 25 November in Lexington, KY.He is buried in Midway, KY. His wife, Mollie, died in Lexington in 1931 and is also buied in Midway, KY.Parker's obit. stated that Parker was to be buried in the family lot (?) in Lexington.Parker was a member of Friendship Lodge No. 5 I.O.O.F., but I don't know what this means. If any of this sounds familiar to you, please respond. It seems as though the Steve Whallon you wrote about could belong in this family. Thanks so much!!!
