Obituary: Emma Amanda Ungermann, 70, died Saturday of cancer at her home. Internment was in San Gorgonio Memorial Park in Banning. Wiefels & Son Mortuary in Banning handled cremation arrangements.
Mrs. Ungermann, who was born in Chicago, Ill., lived in Banning for a total of 22 years. She was a sales clerk for JC Penney for 25 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Banning.

She is survived by her husband, Willard; a son, Timothy; a brother, Seth Hill; and two sisters, Myrtle Whisenand and ELOISE BOISCOURT.
