New Whisenhunt Y-DNA Project
We now have the website up for our new, grassroots, Whisenhunt Y-DNA Project:
http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/w/whisenhunt/http://www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/w/whisenhunt/
Now, all we need are some direct line male descendants who want to participate.
This project is open to all spelling variations of Whisenhunt, Whisnant, Whisenant, Whisonant, Whisenhant, Whisanant, Whisant, Visinand, Visinant, plus any other variations that you might like to pass on to me.
We are using Family Tree DNA for our testing company, because they have an enormous database of DNA test results, against which to match our test results.
But our Whisenhunt Y-DNA Project is a grassroots project, started by me, Mary Lee (McClendon) Becker, and it belongs to us, all of the Whisenhunt (etc.)descendants. I am strictly a volunteer, and my role, as the Group Administrator, is to assist the members in their Whisenhunt family research. I am not paid, nor do I sell test kits. I am not employed by any company. I do, however, have experience in growing Y-DNA projects.
Please feel free to email me, if you have any questions.
So come on, and let's get our Whisehunt Y-DNA Project off to a good start. We can do it!
Best regards,
Mary Lee
