New Whisenhunt Y-DNA Project
We now have the website up for our new, grassroots, Whisenhunt Y-DNA Project:
Now all we need are direct male line descendants whi want to participate.
This project is open to all variant spellings of Whisenhunt, Whisnant, Whisenant, Whisonant, Whisenhant, Whisanant, Whisant, Visinand, Visinant, plus any others that you might like to suggest to me.
We are using Family Tree DNA for our testing company, because they have an enormous database of DNA test results, against which we can match our test results.
But our Whisenhunt Y-DNA project is a grassroots project, started by me, Mary Lee (McClendon) Becker, and it belongs to us, all of the Whisenhunt (etc.) descendants. I am strictly a volunteer, and my role, as Group Administrator, is to help the members in their Whisenhunt family research. I do not receive payment, nor do I sell test kits. I am not an employee of any company. I do, though, have experience in growing Y-DNA projects.
Please feel free to email me, if you have any questions.
So come on, and let's get our Whisenhunt Y-DNA project off to a good start. We can do it!
Descendant of Flora Eviline Whisenhunt, b. 25 Sep 1855 in Brewer, Pike Co., Arkansas, m. James Thomas Huddleston.
