Hi Kim,
I am looking for direct line male Whisenhunts to participate in the Whisenhunt DNA Project.
If your mother had brothers, or male Whisenhunt cousins, they would be direct male line Whisenhunt descendants, as would their sons.
The Whisenhunt DNA project is using Y-DNA test results to sort out and match up the various Whisenhunt family lines. The Y-DNA is passed only from father to son, so you have your father's Y-DNA.
I am in the same boat as you, because I also descend from a female Whisenhunt, Flora Eviline Whisenhunt / Huddleston.
That does not alter the fact that you and I are most likely related, so it is nice to meet you.
Mary Lee
