Here are my notes from my family file on Barbara B. who married Adam Whisenhunt:
*1850 Brewer, Pike Co., Arkansas, as Barbery Whisenhunt, age 75, F, born in North Carolina [Note: Widow living with her son Noah, and next to her son Adam.]
*1870 Precinct 5, Fannin Co., Texas, as Barbry Whisenhunt, age 99, F., W., born in North Carolina.
*Note: From “Selected Historical and Genealogical Records of Scott Co., Arkansas,”by Wanda M. Gray.: “...Adam married a Indian lady whose first name was Barbery B., born in 1771 in North Carolina. Barberry B. Whisenhunt died in Fannin Co., Texas.”
*Note: Might be buried in Carr Cemertery (aka McRae Cemetery), in Fannin Co., Texas. The cemetery has been bulldozed, but older people reported a grave with a long house built over it, in the manner of aNative American grave. It is thought that this was the grave of Barbry B. Whisenhunt, mother-in-law of Malcom Alexander McRae.
I did not note down where I got that last bit of information. I may have found it on this forum. I also wrote to Wanda M. Gray personally, so the information may have come from her, but I am not certain. When I find that source, I will post it as a reply to this posting.
