Thanks for answering.The Rev. Alexander Whitaker came to Virginia in 1611 and drowned in 1617...Jabez Whitaker, his younger brother, was born in Cambridge, England, the youngest son of Wm. Whitaker, D.D., Master of St. John's College, who was born in The Holme.Jabez came to Virginia in 1619.He did not die in Va. - he is recordeed as being a member of the Council into 1628, at which time he and his family left Va. (Va. Magazine, vol. 7).He presumably returned to England, but no one has found records of him there, and there is no known record of when or where he died, or when or where his wife Mary died.There are no known records of the names of his children; this is why I am looking for London parish records.
