Jabez Whitaker, b. 1595 Cambridge, Engl.

Jabez Whitaker was the son of the Rev. William Whitaker of Cambridge University.He was born in 1595, m.c.1616 Mary Bourchier, had "a child" c.1620.He was Burgess and Governor's Councillor in James City Co., Va., 1621-1628, left Va. in a hurry in 1628 (Va. Mag. 7-259). He is next found in Barbados in 1649-51, where his brother William (age 54) had just died.He probably died in Barbados c. 1660.Where was he 1628-1649?I seek a record of his date and place of death and possible will -- also seek records of births and names of any children.Can anyone help?Will be glad to exchange info --Thanks -
