George Whitfield, son of William Whitfield, and Henry Hodges were half brothers.They had the same mother but different fathers.

Item 2nd..I Give unto my Nephew William Samuel Whitifield, Son of George B. Whitifield four negroes as follows Sanyee, Bill, Offner, & Peter to him and his heirs forever--- Item 3rd..I give unto my Neice Emelie Elizaberth Whitifield daughter of the aforesaid George B. Whitifield. Three negroes as follows, Hannah, July & Solomon to her and her heirs forever.... Item 4th..I give unto my Step Father William Whitfield my little Baul Horse and Sorrel Colt for the une and behoof of the sid Wm Whitfield forever.. Item 5th.. I Give unto my half brother George B. Whitfield the other half of my Stock of Cattle all my Stock of Hogs, my Rifle gun, my Black Bay Baul and it is my desire? the said George B. Whitfield should receive all debts due me & appropriate them to payment of my debts and that he the Said George B. Whitfield do make sale of all my Surplus Corn and other property not mentioned aforesaid for the payment of my Debts and of there Should Remain any money after the aforesaid payments I give it unto the aforesaid George B. Whitfield with the aforesaid property in this for his use forever... Item 6thIt is furthermore my desire that Geo. B. Whitfield James R. Ervin & R.
