I have researched the Hinson/Hynson family and have obtained wills etc from the archives in Annapolis. Joseph Wickes who was b. 1620 and died 1692 was in fact married to a Ann Hynson about 1682 after the death of her husband Benjamin Randall. There is also a distinct possibility that this same Ann Hynson was married first to Joseph Wickes the son of the Joseph who d. 1692.In other words Joseph may have married his former D-I-L.I have outlined this is depth on the Weeks Forum some back.Whether or not the son had any chn with Ann is unknown but it is possible that the Joseph Weekes of Westmoreland, VA may have been his son.The wild card is that this son may have been the adopted son of Mary Hartwell and not the biological son of Joseph the elder.
Now getting back to the Joseph who d. ca. 1692.He may have had a dau.Martha Weeks with Ann Hinson but I am doubtful.
Thomas was the name of Ann Hynson's father and brother and I think that they died about the same time which really confused things. In a quick check of my charts, there is a Samuel Wickes, gs. of Joseph the elder, who married Mary Hyson who was the relict of Nanthaniel Hynson. The Hysons and Wickes were he owners of Eastern Neck Island for many years which is now a wildlife refuge which is just north of Love Point, Kent Island, MD.
How this all relates to you, I'm not sure. Let me know if I can offer any other specific info.
