Lost _Family_Photos
Greetings! I have in my possession many family photographs that were part of the estate of James Reid d. in Madison, Ga. Jim was married to my great-great grand Aunt Nora Mashburn b. abt 1879 in Macon Co., NC. They only had one child Hazel, who was childless, and when she passed away all of their personal belongings were left to a neighbor. These remained stored in a hot attic for about 20 years, but are still in pretty good shape. These pictures were sent to them by their extended family and friends over the years, probably from the early 1900's until the 1970's. Very few of the photos are marked with names. It is my desire to not only identify as many of these pictures as possible but to return as many of these pictures to their rightful owners. I found many of my close family members in these old boxes and let me tell you, it was the JOY of my research! There are a few postcards and letters within the pictures also. The boxes were marked REID--MARLOW--DOSTER--CRAIG. However, there were photos of Long, Mull, Mashburn, Crisp, Dalton, Garlan, Greenaway, WIGGINS etc. If you think Aunt Nora may have had some of your family photos, please contact me [email protected] I don't know the best way to identify them yet, I have asked one cousin to please email me photos that she has in possesion now, and I would try to match them up. I don't have alot of time, but a "photobucket" site may also be a good way to get these photos out also. Pictures will be distributed only to those that have documented evidence that it is indeed their relative. I hope I can help you. The find has brought so much joy to my family. Greg Mashburn
ps I have recently set up a photobucket site where you may go to view these photos. I have not completed putting everything in yet, but am making updates every week. Click here: http://s290.photobucket.com/albums/ll255/Lost_Family_Photoshttp://s290.photobucket.com/albums/ll255/Lost_Family_Photos
