Rev. Palmer G Wightman's son John G (circa 1850)
Hello, I have a photograph I'm researching. It is a post mortem daguerreotype of a young father holding his son.The inscription on the case is "IN EAST LYME, OF DYSENTERY, SEPT 27TH, JOHN GROVER, ONLY CHILD OF REV. PG AND E WIGHTMAN AGED THREE YEARS NINE MONTHS".I'd place this image to about 1850.Google "REV. WIGHTMAN" and you get tons of material, but it appears there were quite a few "Rev's".Can anybody identify this child, the father, and tell me more about them? Thanks in advance.Steve, [email protected].
