Re: William Wiles (1776-1820) & Nancy McKee (1787-1850)
I'm a direct descendant of John Wiles. I have been searching for that answer for 14 years and have found NO documentation. I strongly believe that John Wiles (28 Dec 1805 it says TN) was the first born and married Louisa Park.
The second born was William (Billie) Wiles on 15 Oct 1807 in TN. He married Milicent (Milly) Rebecca Thomason.
Third is Alexander Wiles in 1809 in TN. He married two times. Wife Martha E. Hartier died young. Wife two Elizabeth Zilpha Carter had all the children.
For 30 years they all lived within 5 miles of each other in Maury/Marshall County, TN. About 1850 John Wiles divorced Louisa (Park) Wiles. In 1851 John Wiles married again to Martha Ritchie and had a daughter Martha A.A. Wiles.
Then about 1855 William moved first to Lawrence/Sharp County, AR. Then the divorced wife of John moved to Lawrence/ Sharp County. Then the Widow Martha Wiles moved to Lawrence/Sharp County, AR. About this time also Alexander moved to Carroll County, TN. Present day Huntington area.
I have been to the farm of William Wiles and the neighborhoods of John Wiles descendants. William is buried on his property (second person) and maybe town of Ash Flat and the Wal Mart is on his former property.
To answer your question. There are people on the net connecting the three males to William Wiles/Wyles and Nancy McKee. There is an unauthorized post with Family Tree maker to this affect by Alesha Wiles. (my cousin) The information was stored in MY DATABASE for my conveyance and I knew there was NO DOCUMENTED connection. Aleshia published it and heard about it from ME. Any connection ABOVE the three brothers is FALSE. I have many questions and NO answers. TWO William Wiles and Wyles on the 1860 US Census; same age; one in AR the other in TN.
