My grandmother was Rose Anns Wiles/Wyles, also known as Rosina May Wiles/Wyles. She was married to Christopher James Farrell just before the beginning of WW1 - the eldest son Robert was born in 1914. She died in 1969 aged about 78. I am trying to trace the line back further, but I don't know her father's name. We believe he worked for Carlo Gatti in London, and died very young, aged about 24 after being kicked by a horse! Her mother also died young, at about 32, and Grandma had to go into an orphange as her grandparents were deemed unfit to look after her. This is all family legend, and I would settle for some solid facts instead.
