My ggg grandparents are Henry Boone and Elizabeth Wiley Boone. The Greenbrier County Courthouse records show Thomas as being the name of her father with possible middle initial N.Thomas's father may have been Andrew.I have also searched Bath County, VA, records and did not come up with much.
William Robinson was the father of Elizabeth Robinson, who married John Wiley in Bath Co. in 1774.He was one of the first settlers of Bath Co., VA, and died in what is now Allegheny Co. around 1794 near Indian Creek. I have been on 220 North where they had land near Falling Springs and further up.It is very unspoiled there. The Robinson who owned slaves was a son of William Robinson and a lawyer.I believe his name was William also. The Robinsons date back to early Jamestown, VA.
I saw a Robert Wiley as having a son named Thomas but I am not sure about that. There is a book about Monroe County but I could not find that. This Robert married a Hester (last name). There was also an Elizabeth born around 1775.From what I have found, Andrew seems to be the father of Thomas Wiley.
I have visited the old Wiley property near Paint Bank, VA, which was, at one time, called the Old Hanging Rock Farm. There was about 800 or 900 acres. It is very steep where it leads up to the family cemetary. It is also pretty rocky. There is a good bit of brush on it but it is pastured out. There were some hunters there. It is very unspoiled and is now government-owned, allowing foot travel. I believe the Shawver trail on Potts Mountain was also on that land, since a Shawver married one of the Wiley daughters of John.
I wish I could help you more but I definitely saw Thomas Wiley on Elizabeth Boone's death record listed as her father, in Greenbrier Co.I could not find many records in Monroe Co. either.I also come from the branch of Wileys who went to Tennessee and came back.
