I am very please to have located you.We have a unique relationship. Both of my grandparents James Madison Osborn and his wife Nellie Belle Wiley, daughter of John P. Wiley and Sophie Rachel Scherer are related to you on the Warren genealogy.Samuel Robert Wiley and Sophie Cariker's descendants are a major gap in my Wiley information.I only have the lineage of John Scott Wiley and Mary Huldah Mack in a relatively complete form.Mary Huldah Mack was also a descendant of Levi Osborn, my great great grand father, so these Wileys have an even more complicated relationship.
I do have the brief biography of Samuel Robert Wiley from HISTORY OF BOND AND MONTGOMERY COUNTY ILLINOIS, by William Henry Perrin, 1882, page 290.I have the names and dates of birth of his children and some of their spouses and a few of the children.
Anything that you have on the descendants of Samuel Robert Wiley would be greatly appreciated. Have you been to the Montgomery Methodist Cemetery where Samuel Robert and his wife are buried?Have you been to the Grantham Cemetery near Irving, Illinois where Zachariah Wiley and Elizabeth Mann, his wife, and their parents Aquilla Wiley and Hannah Warren for Zachariah, and Robert Mann and Rachel McMullen for Elizabeth Mann, are buried?Samuel Robert got his name from Robert Mann, son of Revolutionary War Soldier John Mann plus another Revolutionary War Soldier Samuel McMullen. John Scott Wiley in turn named one of his sons Robert Wiley honoring Samuel Robert Wiley and Dexter Ware Mack. My late brother was named for Robert Wiley and my son carries Robert for a middle name.
