Dear Barrie,
Thanks for your message .I have a lot of information about the Wilfords from Brompton , also about the linen factory...
since years I am busy with the Wilford genealogy and before me my father and grandfather !
Tried to reach you via your email ,seems to be a wrong one, couldn't access. If you want to give me your right email I will send you copy of records, will, photos etc...
William Henry born 13/10/1833 was the 7th child from Aaron and Cicely ...Charles born 28/12/1823 4th child .
They lived at Manor House divided in 3 parts:
1) Grocers shop + house
2) Manor House smaller part (1 bay)
3) Manor House larger part (2 bays)
Census returns 1841 (don't mention Charles living at Manor House was 18 years old and perhaps was in Ausralia at that time )...Aaron , (Grocer)& Cecily lived there at this period with 9 children and a female servant Ann Appleby 15 years old.
Census 1851 mentions Charles and unmarried ,( Grocer ) living in a part of Manor House called Grocers shophouse + house.
I would be really pleased to hear from you for to share all our information you can write me at my email.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Sincerely
Mary Wilford
