Believe I may have some Wilhelm info given to me by Bob Wilhelm that you may have written to him or he had from another source on his WILHELM Line.
His WILHELM line was out of GEORG and EVE WILHELM and it connected eventually to our JAMES ROGERS, Sr. b. abt. 1700-1720 who had son JAMES ROGERS, Jr. b. abt. 1746 Anson Co. NC who is my 4th G. Grandfather.
What we don't have is the knowledge of more information on our JAMES ROGERS, Sr. and his spouse and James Rogers, Jr. and his spouse.I have the land deeds in 1779 Montgomery Co. NC in name of JAMES ROGERS ( both Sr. and Jr. ) and we know the later lines out of James Rogers Jr. but we are having problems finding anyone with knowledge of this ROGERS/ RODGERS family pertaining to JAMES ROGERS, Sr. and his parentage.
The STANLY CO. NC library in ALBERMARLE, NC, had that our JAMES ROGERS, Sr. may have been the brother or son of JOHN ROGERS/ RODGERS the ULSTER SCOT who arrived in NC in 1732 from PHILADELPHIA PA.By 1735 this same JOHN ROGERS/ RODGERS the ULSTER SCOT ( first settler of what became CABARRUS CO. NC ) and his spouse had the first child born in ROCKY RIVER SETTLEMENTS ( also now in Cabarrus Co. NC ).That child born to them in 1735 was named JOSEPH ROGERS.JOSEPH ROGERS b. 1735 Rocky River Settlements married ISABELL WHITE ( daughter of MOSES WHITE it is said from MARYLAND, I believe ).There are Anson Co. NC records of a MOSES WHITE and yet I have not researched them enough to know if this is same WHITE family as ISABELL WHITE ROGERS family.I do know that JOSEPH ROGERS his wife ISABELL WHITE ROGERS and some of their children are buried in the OLD BETHPAGE CEMETERY near ENOCHSVILLE, in ROWAN CO. NC.
What we need is more information on this JAMES ROGERS, Sr. b. bet. 1700-1720 whose later lines interconnected with the GEORGE WILHELM and EVE WILHELM lines. If anyone has more on our JAMES ROGERS, Sr. b. bet 1700-1720 please post, as it may be if he was related to JOHN ROGERS/ RODGERS the ULSTER SCOT who was first white settler of CABARRUS CO. NC area, in 1732 that our JAMES ROGERS, SR. was a brother of his.
