Ezekiel D. Wilhite
Ezekiel D. Wilhite, 67, of 211 Montclair St., Peoria Heights, Peoria County, Illinois, a resident of this area for 40 years, died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday at Proctor Hospital.
He was born on Dec. 4, 1894, at Harrisburg, MO, a son of Everett and Caldonia Gibson White and was married to Ruth Ehrhardt July 1, 1939 at Columbia, MO.
Wilhite was employed as an inspector at the Hart Carter Co., 100 Eaton St., where he had worked for the past 35 years.
He was a member of the Ancient Landmark Masonic Lodge No. 356, Harrisburg, MO and wasa veteran of World War I, participating in campaigns at St. Meheil, Punenelle, Villers and the .....( undreadable).
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Freeman; one son, Gary Wilhite, and four grandchildren, all of Peoria Heights; three brothers, Clay Wilhite of Hunton,MO, Vincel Wilhiteand Noble Wilhite, both of Harrisburg, MO.; three sisters, Mrs. Madie Thorpe, of Fayetteville, Mo; Mrs. Mary Long of Higbee, Mo; and Mrs. Nellie Smith of Harrisburg, MO.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Clugsten Memorial Home.
