Duncan Williamson

By helen Fink June 23, 2013 at 06:55:30

I am descended through Duncan Williamson via his son, John.I recently have found new information which I felt was certain reqarding Duncan, etc.
I originally thought that Duncan Williamson immigrated through Kingston, NY in 1651 under the name Dirk Willemsz and served in the Esophus War and 1st married Trynjte Barents and then moved on to Bensalem, Pa.Recently, I have found Kingston records which verify the death of Dirck Willemsz on 7 June 1663. I am now back to the beginning on his native country and when he came to America.Would still like to connect with anyone researching this line at [email protected] you are interested in genealogy and have the surname Williamson and are definitely descended to Duncan, several of us would be willing to contribute to a DNA test in order to determine his line. For those of you who are descended through son, John;I was recently at the Cecil county HS and verified the marriage of John Williamson and Mary Rush in Christ Church in Calvert Co, Md.This is also Chestertown and occurred 21 Aug 1709 and his son, George was born approx. 1706.Not verifiable however extremely high possibility.Helen Fink
